On January 24, Polkadot announced via its X platform that the Polkadot community now has its first substrate-native token bridge. Thanks to the Manta Network, this bridge will connect Polkadot to Ethereum layer-2 blockchains. Furthermore, experts say the partnership was facilitated by Polkadot’s cross-consensus message format (XCM), and Polkadot users can now transfer MANTA between its Atlantic and Pacific networks on Ethereum.
Even though Polkadot experienced ecosystem growth in January, DOT remained bearish in the fourth week. On January 21, DOT sold for $6.94. Seven days later, DOT lost 3.78% and traded for $6.67. According to analysts, DOT will likely stay bearish for the next few weeks due to the exit of retail crypto traders from the market in late January. Therefore, we can expect DOT to trade for $6.30 in February.
