The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) in Hong Kong has investigated Worldcoin. According to local <a href="https://inews.hket.com/article/3699486/%E4%B8%96%E7%95%8C%E5%B9%A3%EF%BD%9C%E7%A7%81%E9%9A%B1%E5%B0%88%E5%93%A1%E5%85%AC%E7%BD%B2%E6%9F%A5Worldcoin%E9%A6%99%E6%B8%AF6%E8%99%95%E6%89%80%E3%80%81%E8%BD%9F%E6%B6%89%E5%9A%B4%E9%87%8D%E7%A7%81%E9%9A%B1%E9%A2%A8%E9%9A%AA%E3%80%80%E5%BE%8C%E8%80%85%E7%82%BAOpenAI%20Sam%20Altman%E5%89%B5%E7%AB%8B%E5%8A%A0%E5%AF%86%E8%B2%A8%E5%B9%A3%E9%A0%85%E7%9B%AE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">reports</a>, the government agency entered six Worldcoin offices in Yau Ma Tei, Kwun Tong, Wan Chai, Cyberport, Central, and Causeway Bay today, January 31, to conduct investigations.&nbsp; 
After their visits, the agency declared that Worldcoin’s operation in Hong Kong posed significant personal data privacy risks. The commission believes collecting and processing sensitive personal data by the organization may violate the provisions of the Privacy Ordinance.
