 <p>ISO 27017 extends the information security controls from ISO 27001 to the cloud.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Meanwhile, ISO 27018 outlines <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="privacy" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/privacy.html">privacy</a> guidelines for personally identifiable information stored in the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="cloud" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/cloud.html">cloud</a>.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Together, the certifications underscore Nexo’s robust security and data protection safeguards.</p>
 <p>Commenting, Nexo’s chief security officer, Milan Velev, said:</p>

 <p>For Nexo, robust security is an ongoing priority as the company aims to set industry standards.</p>
 <p>Recent news also reveals that Nexo is seeking $3 billion in damages from Bulgaria over an aborted criminal investigation that the company alleges scuppered its plans for a U.S. stock market listing and a soccer sponsorship deal.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>According to legal filings, Nexo AG, a Swiss unit of Cayman Islands-based Nexo Capital, alleges the investigation tarnished its reputation and destroyed shareholder value.</p>
