Pyth Network

The launch of this smart contract runtime environment provides global Web2 and Web3 participants with easy access to crucial fincnial data. Pyth services are used by more than 80 market participants, including Jane Street, CBOE, Binance, OKX, and Bybit. It now provides high-fidelity, high frequency financial market data to the Filecoin ecosystem for the first time.
Developers working with smart contracts can now access over 400 real-time market data feeds on the Filecoin peer-to-peer network without needing permission. The Pyth Network, a first-party data oracle network, specializes in publishing low-latency financial information to blockchains in a secure and transparent manner.
Pyth Network encourages the world’s leading institutional market players, such as exchanges, market makers, and trading firms, to contribute their proprietary data to the network through the Pyth protocol. This data is then collected on-chain for use in smart contract applications, with smart contracts being able to retrieve Pyth price updates as needed. By partnering with Pyth Network, they also contribute regular and live market data, which users are then able to access directly in a sub-second timescale.
Filecoin operates as a peer-to-peer file storage network, tapping into encryption for long-term file storage reliability and financial incentives. On Filecoin, users pay storage providers to store their data, with the providers responsible for maintaining and proving the continued storage of data. Filecoin's open-market approach allows anyone to participate in data storage and retrieval without any single corporation controlling the storage capacity or pricing.&nbsp;
That said, Pyth helps solve a problem faced by many applications by sourcing high-fidelity and time-sensitive data occurring on- and off-chain to smart contracts located on any blockchain. Its information system is used by crypto desks and trading exchanges who rely on its platform to obtain accurate, real-time data.
In less than a year, the Pyth Network has secured over $2.0 billion in value. Currently, it provides more than 400 real-time price feeds across various categories, including commodities, stocks, FX, cryptocurrencies, and ETFs. The network's infrastructure supports over 50 blockchains and facilitates over $100 billion in trade volume.

Separately, decentralized lending protocol ZeroLend officially listed Pyth Network on their Zero Gravity platform, marking a pivotal collaboration between the two projects.&nbsp;
The announcement, made via X (formerly known as Twitter), highlighted ZeroLend's enthusiasm about listing Pyth Network as the first project on Zero Gravity. This integration is particularly notable for PYTH Governance Token stakers, who will now be eligible to participate in a points-based campaign and receive a portion of the ZERO drop.
Just yesterday, ZeroLend launched the points-based campaign tailored for PYTH stakers. This initiative features a quest designed to engage and reward the Pyth Network community actively.
On its part, Pyth Network highlighted an important feature for PYTH stakers – the ability to map their ERC wallet addresses to Solana (SPL) addresses.&nbsp;
The integration of Pyth Network into Zero Gravity not only boosts the functionality and appeal of the ZERO token but also introduces fresh incentives to attract more users to the platform.
