The U.S. government announced that it will dispose of about $117 million (about 227.3 billion won) worth of Bitcoin (BTC) seized from the dark web &#34;Silk Road&#34; of virtual asset drug trading. According to the Coin Telegraph on the 25th (local time), the U.S. government will dispose of 2,875 BTC worth $117 million confiscated from a daily drug dealer on the Silk Road. At the time of the seizure, BTC was worth 133 billion dollars (about 177.8875 trillion won). The U.S. Department of Justice previously indicted Ryan Paras on charges of illegally selling Xanax tablets, which are used as anti-anxiety drugs, on the Dark Web Silk Road in 2018. With Paras&#39;s conviction, the U.S. government confiscated 2,875 BTC obtained by Paras through illegal drug trade. As a large number of BTC sales are scheduled, there are growing concerns about price declines in the market.
