According to the statement issued by China’s Ministry of Industry on its website on January 17, the guidelines aim to facilitate over 50 national and industry-wide standards for utilizing AI by 2026. This statement appears to have curated a sense of frenzy across the Chinese AI landscape, attracting AI-related firms to function seamlessly within the nation.
Notably, the statement further claimed that the nation is all set to participate in empowering over 20 international standards orbiting AI by 2026, birthing additional optimism for the nation’s stance on <a href="https://coingape.com/glossary/artificial-intelligence/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">artificial intelligence</a>.
Moreover, the draft guidelines for AI standardization primarily aim to capitalize on the initial chances emerging in the AI industry’s evolution, as the ministry’s statement spotlighted. Meanwhile, the ministry also proclaimed that 60 percent of these prospective standards should be zeroed in towards aiding “general vital technologies and application development projects.”
