Once the regulations are finalized, these entities will be mandated to report qualifying transactions to the IRS. A contentious aspect of these rules is the requirement to report sender details, leading to privacy concerns within the <a href="https://www.coingecko.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrency</a> community.
Responding to these concerns, the IRS has expressed its commitment to transparency. In a statement, they announced:
