The ongoing legal saga between Do Knwon and SEC has taken a new twist as Terra’s founder asks the court to provide him with some extra time with the Securities and Exchange Commission trial against him. Reported by <a href="https://twitter.com/innercitypress/status/1745659357897867369">Inner City Press</a>. 
Kwon’s lawyer has requested a U.S. court to postpone the trial due to uncertainties surrounding his extradition from Montenegro and also said that Kwon may not be in the United States until February and March. 
On January 11, Do Kwon’s lawyer wrote in to say he wants to attend but “is not likely to be extradited until February or March at the earliest.” He asks for a delay to mid-March or an instruction to the jury why he is not present”. 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-request-approved-or-denied">Request Approved or Denied?</h2> 
The request by Do Kwon for the delay has been denied by the court. Do Kwon ask the judge to request the court to give the jury an instruction regarding his absence and the reason why he is not able to attend the trial. 
Now, the trial has been decided to be held at the end of this month. Kwon’s extradition procedure has faced delays many times as his legal team successfully appealed a judgment by the Montenegro high court to deport him to either the U.S. or South Korea. The Court has asked for a retrial due to procedural problems.&nbsp; 
The Securities and Exchange Commission has tried its best to decide court results in their favor by also filing a Terraform ruling in the Binance and Coinbase lawsuit to make this case even stronger against Do Kwon. 
Now, both the parties SEC and Do Kwon have filed for summary judgment in the ongoing legal dispute, and are asking a federal judge to decide in their favor without even trial by giving a reason that the opposite party has not given enough substantiated their case adequately.
