A report from security platform Scam Sniffer revealed that cryptocurrency phishing scams exploited 324,000 victims, resulting in losses of nearly $300 million in 2023. This incident adds to a series of high-profile social media hacks in the crypto space, including the compromise of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s X account in September.
