The world of cryptocurrency has once again been hit by a hacking attack. This time, the official X account of the leading <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/blockchain-technology-and-multi-chain-future-insights-from-ripple-ceo/" data-wpel-link="internal">Blockchain</a> cybersecurity company CertiK was targeted by hackers. While only one post was made to carry out a phishing scam, CertiK officials quickly regained control of the account. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="strong-certik-s-official-x-account-hacked-strong">CertiK’s Official X Account Hacked</h2> 
The hacking of the leading Blockchain cybersecurity company CertiK‘s official X account has caused a stir in the cryptocurrency community. The hackers who took control of the account immediately started a phishing scam.

A single post was made from the account with the intention of taking control of users’ wallet addresses and stealing assets from their wallets. After the situation was noticed by experts, calls were made to avoid clicking any links in the account. 
As is known, phishing scams are typically carried out over the internet. In such scams, malicious individuals often present fake information to victims through fake websites, emails, or social media, posing as a legitimate institution, bank, or service provider to obtain personal and <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/finance/" data-wpel-link="exclude">financial</a> information. 
Phishing scammers usually send emails or messages that appear to come from a trustworthy source to their victims. These messages ask victims to share their personal or financial information. They impersonate real sites through fake websites, capturing usernames, passwords, credit card details, or other sensitive information. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="strong-certik-officials-regain-control-of-the-account-strong">CertiK Officials Regain Control of the Account</h2> 
Shortly after the X account was hacked, CertiK officials managed to regain control of it. The phishing scam post was quickly removed. 
Blockchain cybersecurity company made no statement regarding the attack targeting their X account.
