<p class="is-style-lead">Worldcoin recently broadened its World ID verification services to Singapore through the Orb hardware device.</p> 
<p>In a <a href="https://twitter.com/worldcoin/status/1739993683930624055" data-type="link" data-id="https://twitter.com/worldcoin/status/1739993683930624055" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent tweet</a>, <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/worldcoin/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/tag/worldcoin/">Worldcoin</a> announced a significant expansion of its World ID verification services. Singapore now joins the list of countries where individuals can authenticate identities through the project’s custom hardware device, Orb. This development follows the successful launch of World ID 2.0 and the open-sourcing of the Worldcoin iris recognition pipeline in mid-December.</p>

<p>Singapore’s inclusion in the <a href="https://crypto.news/worldcoins-world-id-program-surges-past-2m-signups/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/worldcoins-world-id-program-surges-past-2m-signups/">World ID</a> verification network is part of a broader global trend, with Worldcoin steadily expanding its market presence across Asia, Europe, and South America. Tools for Humanity (TFH), a key contributor to the project, has joined startup and tech associations in Singapore, underscoring the project’s commitment to collaboration and credibility.</p>

<p>However, Worldcoin recently decided to discontinue Orb verification services in India, Brazil, and France, a move that adds a layer of complexity to the evolving landscape of digital identity verification.</p>

<p>Simultaneously, the World ID-compatible wallet, World App, has achieved significant milestones, surpassing 5 million downloads and boasting 1.7 million monthly active users. TFH, the entity behind World App, reports that these numbers position it as the fifth most popular hot wallet globally in 2023, in the company of established players like the <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/bitcoin-com/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/tag/bitcoin-com/">Bitcoin.com</a> wallet.</p>
