<p>In a significant development for Bulgaria’s burgeoning technological landscape, Dr. Veselin Raychev, a distinguished researcher and recipient of an Honorable Mention for the 2016 Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), is set to leave his position at a multi-billion dollar company to join the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Technology (INSAIT) in Sofia, as announced by the Bulgarian Education Ministry.</p>

<p>Dr. Raychev, a native of Bulgaria, earned his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from Sofia University in 2009 and 2006, respectively. He completed his PhD at ETH Zurich in 2016, a journey that earned him recognition with an honorable mention alongside Peter Bailis of Stanford University for the ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award. His groundbreaking PhD thesis paved the way for a new technological field, leading to the emergence of a multi-billion dollar industry—artificial intelligence capable of writing software.</p>
