The study, which polled 1,000 workers, sheds light on how AI is shaping the workforce landscape in the country.</p>

<p>In an era where career growth and salary negotiations are crucial aspects of professional life, AI is becoming a powerful ally for Irish employees. The survey reveals that more than a quarter (28%) of workers in Ireland have utilized AI tools to request promotions, while an additional fifth (20%) have used AI to negotiate salary increases. This suggests that AI-powered tools are helping employees craft compelling messages when seeking career advancement opportunities.</p>

<p>The majority of employees who have embraced AI in the workplace report that it has positively impacted their productivity. A notable 47% of respondents utilize AI to compose emails, while 44% harness its capabilities for brainstorming sessions.</p>

<p>Employee satisfaction is closely linked to AI adoption in the workplace. Those who describe themselves as content in their jobs are more likely to integrate AI into their daily roles, with a striking 64% using AI tools. In contrast, only 26% of dissatisfied employees rely on AI. This highlights the correlation between AI adoption and overall job satisfaction.</p>

A significant 46% of employees believe that the introduction or increased use of AI would make them more inclined to stay in their current jobs. Moreover, 71% see AI as a catalyst for increased productivity, while 70% anticipate improved job satisfaction and a better work-life balance.</p>

<p>Despite the numerous advantages of AI, there are concerns about job security. Approximately 42% of respondents fear that AI may eventually replace their roles. This fear underlines the need for organizations to communicate clearly about the role of AI in the workforce and its potential to complement rather than replace human employees.</p>

<p>Among those who have integrated AI into their work routines, a significant portion report positive changes. Nearly half (49%) believe AI has reduced their workload, while 47% spend less time on repetitive tasks. This translates into employees having more time for other activities.</p>

<p>Interestingly, employees who leverage AI to reclaim time from routine tasks use it for various purposes. Additionally, 46% lend a helping hand to their teammates, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing. Furthermore, 42% dedicate their newfound time to tasks that they previously couldn’t accommodate, enhancing overall productivity.</p>

<p>The positive effects of AI extend to job satisfaction and well-being. An overwhelming 86% of employees using AI in their roles report improved job satisfaction, while 84% claim that it has enhanced their overall sense of well-being. These findings underscore the potential for AI to create a more fulfilling and balanced work environment.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="ai-s-role-in-diversity-and-inclusion">AI’s role in diversity and inclusion</h2>
<p>Beyond individual benefits, AI is also perceived as a tool that can promote diversity and inclusion within organizations. A significant 85% of those surveyed believe that AI is helping their companies become more diverse, while 82% see it as a catalyst for greater inclusivity.</p>

<p>While AI is making significant inroads in the workplace, it is essential to provide proper training to employees. Surprisingly, the survey highlights that 20% of employees in AI-using companies have received no training on its use or application. This underscores the importance of keeping the human element in the process to maximize the benefits of AI. Employers and employees must collaborate to find AI solutions that align with their needs and aspirations, ensuring that AI enhances the human experience rather than replacing it entirely.</p>
<p>The adoption of AI tools by Irish employees is transforming the way they navigate their careers and manage their workloads. With an increasing number of workers using AI for tasks ranging from requesting promotions to composing emails and brainstorming, the impact of AI on productivity and job satisfaction is undeniable. However, organizations must strike a balance by providing adequate training and emphasizing AI’s role as an enhancer rather than a replacement.
