<h5>Research Is Your Friend</h5> 
You can’t just ape into 10 or 20 small projects and hope that one catches to get generational wealth. And why not? Because you are more likely to have as many or more go to zero as you are to have them do 100x or more. So your 100x has to make up for all those losses meaning you would need a few 100x returns. 
And that seems unlikely. Possible but unlikely. I’m going to break this down in more detail but here’s a sneak peek. The generational wealth for our conversation today is at least $1 million.&nbsp;In all but the richest and most expensive countries in the world, a person can retire with $1 million.

So we have to be more strategic about how we set up a portfolio to maximize our potential but reduce risk. And we do that with quality research. Here are some of the tools you should be using for the next bull run.

 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Lunar Crush.</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><a href="https://glassnode.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Glassnode</a> or CryptoQuant for on-chain behavior.</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Block Explorers of your favorite ecosystems.</li> 
</ul> 
<h5>Buy Some Bitcoin</h5> 
You can only get to generational wealth by holding some Bitcoin. It’s true. Just look at the math. If you get a 100x return on one of your small-cap picks, you converted $1000 into $100,000. Or $10,000 to $1 million. That’s an amazing return. 
But unless you do great research or get lucky in the bull run, you probably have to pick 10 projects @ $1,000 each to get one that goes to $100,000. So really you have a total portfolio return of 10x because you invested $10,000 total for that 1 to pop 100x. 
Undoubtedly, some of those same 10 will go to zero or close to it based on the risk/return profiles of MOST potential 100x projects. Let’s be conservative and say that:

 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">1 does 100x.</li>

<h5>Crypto Portfolio in Small Projects</h5> 
While conservative, this is pretty realistic for the risk/return on these <a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/?s=gems" target="_blank" rel="noopener">smaller projects</a>. So now we have:

 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">2 stay at 1000</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">2 go to 3000</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">2 go to 5000</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">1 goes to 100,000</li> 
</ul> 
And what does that equal? 1000+1000+3000+3000+5000+5000+100,000. That’s a total return of $108,000 (118-10) on your $10,000 investment. You crushed it. That’s 1080% ROI. It’s an amazing performance. And yet, it’s not generational wealth, is it? No, it’s not. 
The point here is picking 10 small cap gems will not get you there even with a 100x in there. You just saw it for yourself. In fact, with the 3 losses to zero, we don’t even start making money until project 7. And then the ROI for projects 1-7 together is only 10%. But Bitcoin mixed in there can get you there. 
What if you only pick 7 small-cap projects and hit on your 100x, but <a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/?s=bitcoin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bitcoin</a> does a 20x? You see projections in the next bull run all over the place for Bitcoin to $500k, $800k where it equals the value of gold or even $1 million per coin. What if instead of the 3 going to zero, the rest of this portfolio stays the same but now we have that same $3000 into Bitcoin?

Then we have the same $118,000 + another $60,000. Now our $10,000 has earned us $178,000 or 1680%. That’s still not life-changing money but it’s a huge difference from the first scenario, isn’t it? 
The truth is you probably need more than $10,000 to invest to get to generational wealth unless you gamble on <a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/?s=memecoin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">memecoins</a> or get lucky with a 500x to make up for your losses in other areas in the next bull run. 
But I’m going over all these numbers with you because I don’t want you to rely on luck. I want you to pick smart, invest smart, and get there for those reasons. Then if you get some luck on your side, that just makes your great returns even better. 
<h5>DCA Into Quality</h5> 
One way to bump up your returns into generational wealth levels without even noticing is to continue to DCA into projects. <a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/?s=dca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DCA (Dollar-cost averaging)</a> means doing regular periodic purchases like weekly or monthly.

But you can’t DCA into junk. You have to DCA into quality. As I just mentioned, Bitcoin is a good candidate for this. Other quality projects are too. It doesn’t take much research on our channel to see what projects we like. It’s pretty clear. Do your research, as mentioned above, and have YOUR list of what is quality. 
Quality projects go up more in bull markets and down less in bear markets. Once you have your list, DCA into those relentlessly. Doesn’t matter if the price drops or rises 20% in a month. Buy anyway. A good DCA plan means you can work your plan, keep investing, you can afford to keep investing, and you can be patient to see those returns materialize. 
Plan your work and work your plan. 
<h5>Stick to Gems W/Strong Narratives</h5> 
Narratives matter. And we know you need to get in early most of the time if you want the types of gains that lead to generational wealth. 100x’s or more aren’t easy to come by. 
One way you improve your odds is with gems with a strong narrative. Especially sticking with small-cap or some mid-cap gems. But pick a narrative that works for you. Maybe it’s AI. or DePIN. Or <a href="https://x.com/thedefiedge/status/1730548280193671660?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DeFi</a>, or games. Or airdrops. And that comes back to my point #1. Research is your friend.

Research and dive deep into these sectors. Each one has coins that can go from 100x-1000x. The more expertise you develop in that sector, the better your odds of picking a winner or two. Not to mention, avoiding the big losers that hurt your portfolio performance.
