India’s recent stand on AI appears to have orchestrated a sense of frenzy within the global AI landscape. The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, recently released a statement appealing to the citizens of India. In his appeal, the prime minister cordially invited the nation’s citizens to the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023. 
According to the statement released, the summit is all set to commence on December 12, 2023. Moreover, he draws attention to how the nation, with its youthful population and dynamic startup ecosystem, is poised to contribute to the global evolution of AI significantly. 
Besides, the country emphasizes scalable, secure, affordable, and sustainable solutions, exemplified by initiatives like the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). 
Intriguingly, over the last decade, India swiftly progressed in AI-related technologies, accomplishing in a few years what other countries took decades to achieve. However, presently, within the realm of AI, India is actively working to empower its citizens across diverse sectors, including language services, personalized education, accessible healthcare, and informed agriculture. The upcoming AI Summit, featuring sessions and an AI Expo with 150 Startups, underscores the nation’s dedication to inclusive and enduring AI implementations. 
Furthermore, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, recently exhibited his trust in India’s potential to emerge as the next AI hub. This appears to align with India’s recent advancements in the AI realm, inclusive of the GPAI Summit 2023.
