<h2 id="header-0">Hot Topic: Community Test Re-Cap — BIGGER and BETTER M3TASPACES!</h2>Developer Diaries aim to give a transparent view to our community on how the build of Bloktopia is progressing. We value your loyalty and passion for our project, and we will be sharing as much information as we can about 1 specific feature — hopefully at the end of each week!We will continue to work in an agile manner, and will be adapting and optimising our roadmap continuously. That is the nature of building a metaverse. Some things we share here might not ever come to fruition, but our goal will be to set clear expectations and communicate with you all about the upcoming roadmap and priorities.This weekly Developer Diary update is about our seventh major community test for our ever evolving M3TASPACES product.With each test we’ve done, we’ve looked to increase concurrent users, showcase new features, reduce to barriers to entry and improve backend responsiveness/stability. Some new features have been subtle and more focused around the backend work in some tests, whereas others have been more forward facing with the visible changes. This latest event certainly ticked that box!<h3 id="a-bigger-and-better-m3taspaces">A Bigger and Better M3TASPACES!</h3>The recent test unveiled numerous new visible features to the community, that brought about real excitement for the upcoming stages of environment testing and the future of events within M3TASPACES.The latest test showed a completely transformed M3TASPACES, with the environment over twice the size of the previous one!This has been a necessity for accommodating not only the amount of testers that have been joining in recent months, but also scaling for the future events too!Some of the other major changes showcased within the latest test included:<ul><li>New Stage: We’ve added a brand new, three tiered stage which covers the width of the top side of M3TASPACES. The stage includes new view points for presenters, along with more space for movement and dynamic presentations- whatever the event may be.</li><li>Holograms: giant holograms of presenters on stage that are visible from every corner of the expanding M3TASPACES environment. As the space grows larger and attracts more users, ensuring presenters are visible from any point becomes crucial. This cool new feature allows this to be done, without compromising on the on-stage screens displaying presentations.</li><li>Portals: as showcased in the previous community test but now firmly implemented, a new portal to move between environments has been introduced. The dystopian, space like portal to enter has been created to enter M3TAClub, the Bloktopia nightclub, and will be used for travel to other future aspects of Bloktopia!</li><li>Elevation: new sets of stairs leading up to the virtual HQ’s within M3TASPACES, along with giving a platform for users to have an elevated view of the screens and presenters on stage. This has added a new depth to the growing environment.</li><li>Holding Spaces: the larger environment has created even more space around the edge, close to the stage. At the moment, this is occupied by one portal into M3TAClub, along with walls and trees enclosing the rest of the environment. Whilst what will occupy those spaces in the coming community tests is still a tbc, users can expect some even more exciting new features to fill them very shortly!</li></ul><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1200/1*Ty6KmFm25dNYwZhtOp41VA.png" /><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1200/1*XRnQ8pnZBD8CMzApHDFs-A.png" /><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1200/1*aHQNCgZjtNwR8tdSpv0fFg.png" /><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1200/1*griLPpgme0nJECqHgG5n4Q.png" />The new bigger and better M3TASPACES, including the portal to M3TAClub, inside M3TAClub and the Holograms on the brand new stage<h3 id="what-s-next">What’s Next?</h3>Community tests will continue as we look to fine tune the user experiences before more product launches.
