<a href="https://mtn.com.gh/" data-type="URL" data-id="https://mtn.com.gh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MTN</a> has announced the appointment of Selorm Adadevoh as the Group Chief Commercial Officer, set to take effect from April 1, 2024. Adadevoh, with a wealth of experience since joining the company in 2018 as CEO of MTN Ghana, will succeed Jens Schulte-Bockum, the outgoing Group Chief Operations Officer, whose contract ends on March 31, 2024.
The company underscores the alignment of Adadevoh’s designation with MTN’s Group Operating Model, where he will seamlessly take on all executive responsibilities previously held by Schulte-Bockum.
Adadevoh’s impressive industry journey includes pivotal roles within the Digicel Group and senior positions at Millicom/Tigo in Ghana, showcasing his seasoned leadership in the telecommunications arena. Schulte-Bockum, Adadevoh’s predecessor, leaves a seven-year legacy at the company.
“The Company thanks Jens for the vital role he has played in the scaling of our core connectivity business across home, fibre, enterprise and network as a service, in line with Ambition 2025,” MTN said.

Schulte-Bockum will remain with the MTN Group as a non-executive director of the company’s branches in South Africa, Nigeria, and Bayobab boards.
“I would like to thank Jens for his valuable contribution over the years. We look forward to his continued input on the boards of MTN SA, MTN Nigeria and Bayobab,” said Ralph Mupita, MTN Group CEO.
Selorm Adadevoh’s position as CEO of the telecom giant’s Ghanaian branch will be assumed by Stephen Blewett, who reentered the company in July 2023. Blewett, formerly the COO at <a href="https://www.digicelgroup.com/en" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.digicelgroup.com/en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Digicel</a>, brings with him seven years of experience within the MTN Group, having served as CEO for MTN Benin and Cameroon.
Ralph Mupita extends congratulations to both Selorm and Stephen on their respective appointments, expressing best wishes on behalf of the entire MTN team for their success in implementing the Ambition 2025 strategy.
