CRYPTO AM founder and editor-at-large James Bowater has launched a new platform incorporating cryptocurrency, blockchain, AI, Web3, gaming, digital assets and education. 
The news, information and events business – The Digital Commonwealth – will see the ‘Crypto Insider’ step away from City AM to focus on the site <a href="https://thedigitalcommonwealth.com/">https://thedigitalcommonwealth.com/</a> 
James spent five years building and nurturing Crypto AM as it established itself as one of the leading and most respected crypto news providers in the industry. He also spearheaded a swathe of successful events, including the annual Crypto AM Summit and Awards. 
Speaking of James’ move away from Crypto AM, City AM’s Chief Operating Officer Harry Owen wished him well with the new venture. 
“Having launched the brand with James in 2018, it’s been a great journey that has included some genuine high points – not least the Crypto AM Summit and Awards,” he said. 
“James has put in a lot of work, commitment and time over the years and, for that, I would like to thank him for his efforts.” 
Londoner James said he had enjoyed building Crypto AM, but was also extremely keen to continue his efforts in creating a genuine ‘crypto community’ as well lobbying to ensure the UK embraces a digital future. 
“It was just over five years ago that Harry Owen listened to my suggestion for a partnership with City AM to create at the time a world first for mainstream publishing – a regular feature in the newspaper covering AI, blockchain, crypto, distributed ledger technology, and tokenization,” he said. 
“Crypto AM was born to cover all these topics and has grown year-on-year ever since keeping up with the changing digital assets landscape – crypto assets, DeFi, digital assets, real world assets, metaverse, Web3 all have arrived. 
“My mission has always been to educate and connect the community by bridging gaps across all the technologies that will carry us forward. And this mission will now continue – on a greater and wider scale – with The Digital Commonwealth.”
