On December 3rd, fiatjaf, the core developer of the decentralized social protocol Nostr, issued a statement on the <a href="https://x.com/fiatjaf/status/1731275381980660075?s=20">X</a> platform (formerly twitter) warning users to avoid interacting with the platform called Nostr Assets Protocol.&nbsp; 
According to fiatjaf’s explanation, Nostr Assets Protocol is a fully hosted service that borrows the name Nostr Protocol, and is essentially a type of affinity scam.&nbsp;

Nostr Assets Protocol has no actual affiliation with the Nostr Protocol itself, and only borrows the name Nostr. fiatjaf emphasized that users should not deposit any sats into the platform. 
In addition, fiatjaf also accused the platform of issuing a token called nostr, which is 100% fraudulent, and has no connection with the founder and team of Nostr.

However, Nostr Assets Protocol said that the allegations made by fiatjaf, the developer of the decentralized social protocol Nostr, regarding Nostr Assets Protocol are unfounded. Nostr is a decentralized, open-source, and censorship-resistant relay network that anyone can build on, and the upcoming Nostr Assets has nothing to do with Nostr’s core developers. 
In addition, the Nostr Assets Protocol said that the criticism from fiatjaf, the core developer of Nostr, is a misunderstanding due to a lack of communication, and hopes to establish contact with the Nostr development team to improve collaboration and foster a better Nostr ecosystem.
