<p>Solar  team members embarked on an exciting journey to Tokyo to attend NexTech  Week. This event allowed the team to meet with projects from multiple  sectors of the business world in Japan from October 25th to October  27th.</p><p>NexTech  Week pulled together prestigious projects from AI, blockchain  technology, security, Metaverse, financials and more. The purpose of the  trip was clear: to explore potential business collaborations, gain  insights into the latest developments in the crypto space, network, and  learn more about doing business in Japan.</p><h2 id="header-0">NexTech Week</h2><p>Nextech week was held at Makuhari Messe Convention Centre just outside  Tokyo. This convention centre is one of the largest in Japan and has  hosted a wide variety of trade shows, including the first official  Pokemon Trading Card tournament! It was also used for several sporting  events during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.</p><p>Nextech  week showcased four areas of technology: artificial intelligence,  blockchain, quantum computing and DX human resource development. Its aim  was to bring together professionals in various industries, including  manufacturing, social infrastructure, retailing, logistics, medical,  finance, and government offices. The event highlighted advanced  technologies that would benefit many business areas.</p><p>The  Solar team took every opportunity to network and speak to relevant  projects that may benefit Solar in the future. Business cards changed  hands, conversations flowed, and many hands were shaken during this  incredible event with many opportunities to collaborate further.</p><h2 id="header-1">Business Culture</h2><h2 id="header-2"></h2><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/a272d51da3814788973dc4631389aba3.jpg" /><p></p><p>Japan  is a fascinating mix of both old and new. Shinto temples can be found  tucked behind busy city streets whilst people and traffic rush by just  metres away. Doing business in Japan is deeply rooted in social norms  and hierarchy. For example, exchanging business cards is a common ritual  and must be done correctly to avoid offending. Building relationships  and establishing trust are crucial to doing business in Japan.</p><p>Understanding  these cultural aspects can contribute significantly to building  positive business relationships. This trip to NexTech gave Solar insight  into the business culture, which will be valuable for future  interactions with Japanese projects.</p><h2 id="header-3">Conclusion</h2><p>Visiting  NexTech week was more than just a business venture, it was a learning  experience and an insight into the cryptocurrency industry in Japan.</p><p>Japan  is poised to embrace blockchain technology, and this trip served as an  opportunity to get a foothold into this fascinating business culture.
