This new initiative in Russia seeks to equip bailiffs with enhanced tools and powers. They want it specifically tailored for the complexities of crypto. Seizing Digital Rubles, tokens, and digital assets 
The Ministry of Justice’s plan includes granting bailiffs the authority to execute “foreclosure” on a range of digital holdings. This encompasses <a href="https://news.todayq.com/russias-digital-ruble-gains-momentum-for-launching-cbdc-project/">Digital Rubles</a> (CBDC), cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. 
They also cover a broader category known as digital financial assets. This includes tokenized commodities, securities, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Use of geolocation services to track debtors 
Bailiffs will be able to use mobile phone geolocation services to track down debtors. This modern approach will overcome challenges associated with locating individuals who may attempt to evade taxes. 
Authorities intend to streamline the enforcement process by incorporating technological tools. It will ensure a more effective response to legal obligations. Electronic trading of seized property 
Ministry’s plan is the authorize of the “sale of seized property through electronic trading.” This indicates that bailiffs may soon have the capability to liquidate debtors’ digital holdings on cryptocurrency exchanges. 
Discussions to establish a state-owned crypto exchange adds another layer to this breaking shift. It hints at a new and dangerous approach to manage and sell seized digital assets.
