Binance has unveiled the winning design for Pierre Gasly’s Fan-Designed F1 Helmet. The BWT Alpine F1 Team driver will wear the helmet in the upcoming Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26, 2023. 
The world’s largest crypto exchange company by volume teamed up with the 2020 Italian Grand Prix to foster creativity and fan engagement for Binance users and F1 enthusiasts worldwide by inviting them to participate in a design competition that draws inspiration from both worlds. 
Participants were encouraged to showcase their creativity by submitting their designs from August 23 to September 8, 2023. 
According to the announcement on Wednesday, the judging panel, which included Pierre Gasly and his team, were looking for designs that reflected Binance’s values, resonated with its innovative ethos, and aligned with the campaign’s mission to foster connections within the motorsport community. 
The crypto and F1 communities turned up in numbers with over 700 submissions from participants in more than 140 countries.&nbsp; 
The winning helmet was inspired by the Binance brand and Pierre Gasly’s legacy and featured three distinct colours, bright pink, black and gold, while also paying homage to the Arabic culture with calligraphed writing.&nbsp;

Commenting on the winning design, Pierre Gasly said: “This design truly encapsulates my partnership with Binance, and my profound connection to my fans and this race in particular. This community-focused contest and partnership has allowed me to feel even closer to my fan base. Seeing all the creative submissions from our passionate community makes me more exhilarated, and I’m humbled by their incredible energy and passion which I’m excited to channel to the race.” 
As a reward to the contest winner, the designer of the winning helmet will receive a replica of the helmet autographed by Pierre Gasly. 
Explaining the reasoning behind his design, the winner said Binance was a major inspiration as depicted by the dominant black and yellow colours. “I also gave it a glossy surface finish to evoke the golden colour and allude to Arabic culture, along with Arabic calligraphy on the sides.” 
For adding the bright pink colour, the designer shared: “Since the race will take place at night, I also used the colour of another sponsor (vibrant pink) to create a contrast with the rest of the design, making the helmet stand out under the nighttime lights.” 
This design contest is part of a larger partnership between Binance and Pierre Gasly, as the two seek to evoke creativity and fan engagement. The crypto exchange company also provided its users and Gasly fans the Pierre Gasly Experience, featuring race weekend hospitality, a personal meet with Gasly and signed mini-helmets. 
Rachel Conlan, Chief Marketing Officer at Binance commented: “Seeing the global community come together within this creative platform and the overwhelming excitement has been an absolute joy. It highlights the power of offering fans distinctive engagement opportunities to strengthen connections.” 
According to Conlan, this partnership exemplifies Binance’s and Gasly’s commitment to connecting Web3 and the world of sports.
