In this role, Ms. Wanjihia will lead the company’s operations in Africa and International Markets, involving the Middle East, Asia, and LATAM. The announcement is considered a step in Bolt’s mission to enhance and streamline its operations across the region.
“I am truly honored and excited to take on this role. Africa in particular holds immense potential, and I am confident that ride-hailing services can serve as a catalyst for reshaping how people travel, connect, and access economic prospects,” Caroline Wanjihia, the newly appointed Regional Director for Africa and International Markets, says.

Caroline possesses a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Additionally, she is a Certified Public Accountant and is a Level III Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). With a wealth of experience exceeding 15 years, she is widely regarded as an esteemed Director in Strategy, Business Development, and Operations. Renowned for her innovative strategies, Caroline has effectively steered global industry leaders including Coca-Cola, Diageo, Barclays, PwC, and Old Mutual in shaping their business strategies and fostering growth.
