As soon as the OpenAI board decided to take <a href="https://coingape.com/just-in-openai-ousts-sam-altman-as-ceo-in-leadership-reshuffle/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sam Altman down as the CEO</a>, Co-Founder Greg Brockman was tied along. On Saturday, the OpenAI board committee came to a joint conclusion that founder Sam Altman and Co-founder Greg Brockman should step down from their respective positions. 
Reacting to this, both the Execs shared their views on X (formerly Twitter) with a heavy heart. 
<h2 id="brockman-saddened-by-board-s-decision">Brockman Saddened by Board’s Decision</h2> 
Greg Brockman and <a href="https://coingape.com/education/openai-ceo-sam-altman/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sam Altman</a> expressed profound shock and sadness following sudden and unexpected changes to the company’s board structure. 
The revelation came through a post on X by Greg Brockman, leaving the tech community abuzz with speculation and confusion. He confirmed that minutes later, at 12:19 pm, Greg Brockman received a text from Ilya Sutskever, leading to a quick call via Google Meet. 
During this call, Greg was informed that he was being removed from the board but assured that he remained vital to the company and would retain his role. Simultaneously, Sam Altman was reported to have been fired. OpenAI promptly published a blog post outlining the changes. 
The management team was reportedly briefed shortly after these developments, except for <a href="https://coingape.com/who-is-mira-murati-the-new-chatgpt-ceo-replacing-sam-altman/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mira Murati</a>, who allegedly learned of the changes the night before.

After Altman received the board’s decision, he carried all his emotions on his latest X posts. Greeting everyone with “I love you all”, he described his feelings of uncanniness. Right from the shocking revelation, Altman satirically slams the board saying “It’s like reading your eulogy while you’re still alive”. 
In a more recent post, he claimed that if he showed his dissatisfaction over the board’s decision, the OpenAI committee would sue him legally causing in loss of shares he has in the company. 
Overall, it’s still not confirmed why the board has taken down the two but from Altman’s posts, it looks like there’s something that is hidden from the public’s peripheral. 
Besides, Sam Altman in a previous post told his followers how he loved the time being there in the phase of development and innovation.
