He suggested that the extent of crypto illicit activity is sometimes overstated, noting that public blockchains provide law enforcement with immutable records, an advantage over traditional finance systems. Lisa warned about the role of non-compliant overseas exchanges in facilitating crime and advocated for sensible, measured regulation to mitigate these risks without driving crypto activities underground. He stressed the potential of blockchain analytics in fighting money laundering, urging for a reimagined approach to anti-money laundering policies that leverage the transparency of cryptocurrencies.</p>
