Binance’s Japanese division announced plans to list 13 new tokens for spot trading and crypto-earning services starting Nov. 27, according to a Nov. 15 statement shared with CryptoSlate.
This move increases the exchange’s token offerings from 34 to 47, making it the largest platform with the most extensive token selection in Japan. Per the statement, the exchange is listing crypto assets like Hedera Hashgraph (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/hedera/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">HBAR</a>), Near Protocol (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/near-protocol/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NEAR</a>), Optimism Network (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/optimism/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">OP</a>), Immutable X (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/immutable-x/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">IMX</a>), and Arbitrum (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/arbitrum/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ARB</a>).
Other assets to be listed include ApeCoin (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/apecoin-ape/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">APE</a>), Klatyn (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/klaytn/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">KLAY</a>), Lisk (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/lisk/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">LSK</a>), The Graph (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/the-graph/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GRT</a>), and Render Token (<a href="https://cryptoslate.com/coins/rendertoken/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">RNDR</a>).
Binance Japan revealed that the 13 tokens are already listed on other registered platforms in the Asian country. According to the firm, these assets were deemed eligible following assessments by the Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association (JVCEA).
Takeshi Chino, BInance Japan CEO, said:

In August, <a href="https://cryptoslate.com/companies/binance/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance</a> re-entered the <a href="https://cryptoslate.com/binance-reenters-japanese-market-with-new-platform-debuts-bnb-trading/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Japanese market</a> as a Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA)-regulated firm after acquiring Sakura Exchange BitCoin (SEBC), a registered crypto exchange service provider, in 2022.
Meanwhile, Binance’s expansion in Japan coincides with the <a href="https://cryptoslate.com/kraken-to-shutter-operations-in-japan-by-end-of-january-2023/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">departure</a> of major players like Kraken and Coinbase earlier this year.
Japan is one of the few countries that has maintained strict crypto regulations. The regulatory framework was crucial in <a href="https://cryptoslate.com/ftx-japan-to-resume-withdrawals-on-feb-21/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">safeguarding</a> FTX Japan customers’ funds&nbsp;from the parent company’s bankruptcy.
