A new era of Decentralized Social is coming! We have two huge initiatives planned for the next quarter that will take the DeSo Blockchain to new unprecedented heights. DeSo will introduce unique innovations &amp; technology breakthroughs that are not found anywhere else in the industry.<img src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F-1IuNvW0AA7CfU?format&#61;jpg&amp;name&#61;medium" />1) Revolution PoS Revolution PoS is a state-of-the-art Proof of Stake consensus mechanism, drafted and implemented by the DeSo core development team, that brings the following breakthroughs to DeSo: HYPER SPEED: Revolution brings hyper-fast finality times, for not just financial transactions, but for content as well, which we refer to as &#34;posts-per-second&#34;. This will enable DeSo to achieve roughly a tenth of Twitters scale — with a concrete roadmap to achieve full Twitter scale as demand grows. Revolution will also introduce the first production implementation of the advanced Fast HotStuff consensus algorithm. This allows Revolution to achieve the theoretically-optimal number of rounds of communication per block finalization. No other blockchain on the market today can handle the storage, indexing and monetization of content as cheaply and efficiently as DeSo. SELF-SOVEREIGN STAKING (e.g. NO LOCKUPS): Most existing PoS mechanisms force users to lock up coins for long periods of time, often years, in order to stake. Revolution PoS provides the same level of security as &#34;long-lockup&#34; mechanisms, but it only requires locking stake for roughly three hours (three Revolution epochs)! Revolution APY will also start at ~20%, and will self-adjust based on the total amount staked. DYNAMIC BLOCK REWARDS: Revolution PoS introduces a novel way of automatically adjusting validator block rewards to explicitly incentivize the total amount staked and the total number of validators on the network. Whereas other schemes dramatically over-pay validators for their services, the Dynamic Block Reward ensures that validators are paid no more than their operating costs in the steady-state. This will also further minimize the cost of running a node by adjusting the block reward to maximize both the amount staked as well as the number of validators, at minimum cost to the protocol. MAXIMAL DEFLATION: The burn-maximizing fee algorithm (the &#34;BMF&#34;), introduced in Revolution PoS is a significant improvement on EIP-1559, which is widely considered state-of-the-art. BMF aims to maximize the amount burned from all transaction fees and aims to ensure Revolution’s fee model benefit its users rather than its validators. In addition, it provides little incentive for validators to collude in an effort to collect transaction fees, unlike all other fee models we&#39;ve researched. We believe the BMF will make Revolution the first network where coin holders and users are protected from centralized profiteering during periods of high transactional volatility. Overall, with Sovereign Staking, the BMF, and the Dynamic Block Rewards — DeSo&#39;s Revolution PoS will create a far more deflationary protocol than has ever existed in the past!<img src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F-1KFxgW8AAtNFf?format&#61;jpg&amp;name&#61;medium" />2) Mainstream Consumer App It&#39;s official. DeSo is developing a new fully crypto-native and on-chain consumer app that we believe will finally take crypto mainstream. The new app will introduce on-chain mechanics that have been relentlessly perfected at the protocol level, over the past few years. This will introduce: Subscription-based and gated content that is fully end-to-end encrypted and on-chain. Token-based airdrops for incentivizing and rewarding social activity and engagement through a new innovative Post-to-Earn mechanism. Decentralized advertising for boosting content and reach across DeSo while removing middlemen — we believe this has opportunity to disrupt the entire consumer space as we know it today. Scalable onboarding / referral incentives and reward programs for growing on-chain communities. Deep filtering and discovery of creators and content so you choose what you want to see, when you want to see it, and how you want to see it. A brand new experience that puts creators first, with frictionless ways for them to manage DMs, manage content, manage relationships, including multiple methods for creators to monetize — fully permissionless. A platform that will be entirely owned by its users from Day-Zero (yes, there will be an early reservation period that will be open to anyone!). A new look at a more scalable and rewarding Creator Coins v2 asset class, that brought the initial wave of users into DeSo and has taken the SocialFi world by storm. All of this while owning your content, your identity, and your social activity so that nobody in the world can take it from you — just like they can&#39;t take your Bitcoin. Lastly, with our new developer tools like DeSo Block Explorer, DeSo Indexer and DeSo GraphQL API — we hope to invite founders &amp; developers all over the world to tap into the DeSo Blockchain and introduce new consumer applications that exceed our wildest imaginations.
