 <p class="is-style-lead">According to a Nov. 6 post on X, Cardano has chosen to use Substrate, the foundation of the Polkadot SDK, to build its <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="partner" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/partner.html">partner</a> <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="chain" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/chain.html">chain</a> project.</p>
 <p>This decision is said to come after four years of research, culminating in Cardano selecting Polkadot’s SDK, formerly Substrate, as the ideal choice due to its modular and flexible design.</p>
 <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="a-self-sovereign-blockchain">A self-sovereign blockchain</h2>
 <p>A leading developer of Cardano, IOG goes on to describe Substrate as a “proven open-source modular framework” and will contribute a set of composable pallets to broaden its overall reach.”</p>

 <p>The thread goes on to highlight that Substrate can be used to build self-sovereign block<a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="chain" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/chain.html">chain</a>s that operate separately from Polkadot, citing Polygon’s Avail project as an example of this.</p>
 <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="on-the-upward-trend">On the upward trend</h2>
 <p>In the first week of the month, Cardano has seen a strong trend, with ADA surging by 7.5% to reach $0.348808, the highest it has been in about four months, according to data on Nov. 5, which in part may have been due to the&nbsp;Cardano Summit 2023&nbsp;which was held between Nov. 2 and 4.&nbsp;</p>
