<p>Cardano’s architectural design, which bifurcates the Cardano Settlement Layer (CSL) from the Cardano Computation Layer (CCL), serves as a cornerstone of its infrastructure. The CSL has proven to be robust and scalable, forming an ideal cross-chain settlement layer. With the introduction of partner chains, networks will gain the ability to construct their computation layers using a modular framework and existing components, while still leveraging the CSL for seamless settlement across chains.</p>

<p>Interoperability: By leveraging Substrate’s modular framework, partner chains will be able to seamlessly connect with Cardano, promoting interoperability across various blockchain ecosystems.</p>
<p>Security: Stake Pool Operators (SPOs) will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of partner chains, providing a robust layer of protection.</p>
<p>Tokenomics: Babel fees are expected to resolve tokenomics challenges for new networks, facilitating compensation for SPOs in ADA and promoting sustainable growth.</p>
<p>Vendor Lock-in: Partner chains will have the flexibility to implement any consensus protocol, ensuring they are not locked into any specific network or technology stack.</p>
