Stéphanie Cabossioras, who served as the executive director of Binance France, has stepped down from her position. 
<h2 id="span-style-font-weight-400-binance-witnesses-resignation-of-10th-executive-span">Binance Witnesses Resignation of 10th Executive</h2> 
According to the <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-france-director-resigns-latest-departure-crypto-exchange">report</a>, her departure marks at least the 10th exit of a senior executive from Binance in the current year.&nbsp; 
In a <a href="https://twitter.com/davidprincay/status/1714573982928691272?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1714573982928691272%7Ctwgr%5E203ec8e5133b8a16fb0c14408697a9c55f19c1ba%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcointelegraph.com%2Fnews%2Fbinance-france-director-resigns-latest-departure-crypto-exchange">post</a> made on October 19th via X, Binance France resident David Prinçay officially acknowledged Cabossioras’ exit and conveyed his deep appreciation for her contributions to the exchange. The post reads: “We thank Stéphanie for her strong contribution to Binance France and wish her the best for her next challenge.” 
<h3 id="span-style-font-weight-400-cabossioras-joined-in-april-2022-span">Cabossioras Joined in April 2022</h3> 
Cabossioras initially joined Binance in April 2022, serving as the head of legal affairs for the French division of the cryptocurrency exchange. Subsequently, she was promoted to the position of executive director in November of that very year.&nbsp; 
Prior to her tenure at the cryptocurrency exchange, Cabossioras held the esteemed position of General Counsel at Autorité des Marchés Financiers, the regulatory authority overseeing a significant portion of financial regulations in the Canadian province of Quebec. 
<h2 id="span-style-font-weight-400-binance-france-under-regulatory-scrutiny-span">Binance France Under Regulatory Scrutiny</h2> 
Notably, Binance’s branch in France came under scrutiny from local authorities in June. The Paris Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation, citing a range of charges, including “acts of aggravated money laundering,” as the primary focus of their inquiry. 
<h3 id="span-style-font-weight-400-legal-actions-in-the-us-span">Legal Actions in the US</h3> 
Not too long ago, Binance US, the cryptocurrency exchange’s United States branch, <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/binance-us-lays-off-a-third-of-its-workforce/">downsized its workforce by nearly one-third</a>, along with CEO Brian Shroder’s departure. This reduction in staff occurred at a time when the company was facing scrutiny from regulatory bodies such as the SEC, CFTC, and the US Department of Justice (US DOJ). Just two days following the departure of CEO Brian Shroder and the termination of one-third of its workforce, the news about <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/binance-us-sees-departure-of-two-additional-execs/">the departure of two more high-ranking executives</a> came. 
Meanwhile, the exchange showed <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/binance-freezes-hamas-accounts-in-compliance-with-israeli-law-enforcement/">the adherence to the request of Israeli law enforcement</a> to freeze accounts associated with the Palestinian militant group Hamas. This action underscores the exchange’s commitment to preventing the illicit use of its platform and ensuring compliance with international regulations.
