Scroll, a new competitor in the field of zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) that aims to scale the blockchain, has verified the launch of its mainnet. Scroll&#39;s goal is to make scaling the blockchain easier.In a post dated October 17, the Scroll team made the launch announcement and highlighted that current Ethereum applications as well as developer tool kits can immediately move to the new scaling solution.<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/b07c13d9071e4025b0afd623acdf0775.png" />A decentralized application built on Ethereum that uses a zkEVM solution like the one that Scroll offers attempts to achieve lower transaction costs while simultaneously increasing throughput.It accomplishes this by first consolidating thousands of off-chain transactions into a single batch, and then sending a proof to Ethereum&#39;s mainnet that consists of a barebones data summary.According to Scroll, the introduction of the mainnet occurred after 15 months of carrying out thorough testing and undergoing security audits across three different testnets.The security reviews of Scroll&#39;s bridge and rollup contracts were conducted by OpenZeppelin and Zellic, and the reviews of Scroll&#39;s zkEVM circuits were carried out by Trail of Bits, Zellic, and KALOS.Dune Analytics reports that 2,030 ETH has been put onto Scroll, the vast majority of which has been added in the previous 24 hours following the launch announcement.#Scroll
