The core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, was also higher than expected at an annual rate of 4.3%, compared to the previous value of 4.3% and an expected figure of 4.1%. These results indicate that inflation in the US economy remains high, raising concerns for policymakers and economists.</p>
