<p>JPMorgan has conducted its first collateral settlement for clients using blockchain technology. The bank’s Tokenized Collateral Network was employed by BlackRock to convert shares in one of its money market funds into digital tokens, which were then transferred to Barclays as collateral for an over-the-counter derivatives trade between the two institutions. JPMorgan had previously tested its tokenized collateral network in May. The new technology is expected to speed up transactions and increase capital efficiency.</p>
