<p>Vera Jourova, the Vice-President for Values and Transparency at the European Commission, emphasized the remarkable “convergence” of thought between the EU and Japan regarding generative AI. The EU has taken a leading role in regulating generative AI through its comprehensive AI Act, which seeks to establish strict guidelines for its development and deployment.
