Additionally, the study incorporated datasets from Vicuña, an open-source ChatGPT competitor.</p>

<p>Among the three categories, erotic storytelling emerged as the most frequent, accounting for 5.71% of the sample conversations. Users engaged in explicit narrative exchanges that catered to their fantasies, often taking chatbots into the realm of steamy storytelling.</p>

<p>The second category, involving explicit sexual fantasies and role-playing scenarios, constituted 3.91% of the conversations. Here, users explored their desires through imaginative role-play, demonstrating the diverse range of interactions that occur with chatbots.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="addressing-bigotry">Addressing bigotry</h2>
<p>The study also uncovered 2.66% of interactions with clearly bigoted users, highlighting the broader issue of toxic behavior within AI interactions. However, the researchers acknowledged that defining “toxic behavior” required further clarity.</p>

<p>While these findings may not come as a shock to seasoned internet users, they shed light on the often-hidden world of human-chatbot interactions.
