LinkedIn is set to embark on a groundbreaking venture, introducing a novel AI-driven assistant tailored to the discerning needs of recruiters in quest of potential job candidates. Moreover, they are poised to unveil an AI educational companion within their educational platform.
LinkedIn, the business-centric social platform under the Microsoft umbrella, has divulged its ambitious plans to incorporate cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities aimed at facilitating the arduous task of talent sourcing by recruiters. On the 3rd of October, LinkedIn officially inaugurated the trial phase of “Recruiter 2024,” a groundbreaking AI-powered tool designed to augment the capabilities of recruiters.
As per the official announcement, this tool empowers recruiters to employ “natural language” inquiries for identifying prospective candidates on the platform. Furthermore, it offers the versatility to devise advertising campaigns for job postings.
LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky, speaking at the Talent Connect Summit in New York, emphasized the industry’s imperative need for new strategies, in which AI plays a pivotal role. He stated, “The exciting revelation is that AI not only expedites the necessity for innovative strategies but also serves as an invaluable instrument for their construction.”
In tandem with the AI-assisted recruiting tool, LinkedIn has introduced AI-driven coaching within its LinkedIn Learning section. This groundbreaking AI component possesses the capability to customize content and dispense real-time guidance based on the user’s career aspirations.
Over the past year, LinkedIn has observed an astounding 65% upsurge in interest in its AI-related educational offerings. The AI-infused recruitment and learning tools are currently accessible to a select few, with plans for broader availability in the near future.
It is worth noting that Microsoft, the parent company of LinkedIn, is leveraging technology from OpenAI, an entity in which it holds a significant stake and the progenitor of the widely acclaimed AI chatbot, ChatGPT, to bolster its AI capabilities.
In a preceding development, LinkedIn introduced AI-driven messaging tools for recruiters in May, garnering significant acclaim, with 74% of users attesting to its time-saving efficacy.
LinkedIn is but one of the many enterprises spearheading the integration of AI-powered applications into their operational frameworks. On the 27th of September, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, introduced a formidable contender to ChatGPT, an AI chat assistant christened “Meta AI.” This groundbreaking innovation is set to be seamlessly integrated across Meta-owned platforms, encompassing the popular social media and messaging applications such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
