The announcement highlighted a series of accomplishments including the completion of its Odessa(USA) facility's final phase and an increase in bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">production</a>, according to <a href="https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2023/10/02/2753147/0/en/Cipher-Mining-Announces-September-2023-Operational-Update.html">globenewswire</a>. 
In September, <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/cipher-mining-thrives-eyes-increased-market-share/">Cipher</a> achieved its Q3 target, reaching a <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">hash rate</a> of 7.2 exahashes per second (EH/s) for bitcoin mining. This new capacity enables Cipher to mine up to 16.4 bitcoins per day. The company's progress comes despite setbacks like record temperatures and energy supply curtailments from its power provider. 
Due to these adversities, Cipher utilized data analytics and performance optimization to improve its mining operations. As a result, Cipher ended the month with 70,000 deployed mining rigs. This formidable arsenal contributed to mining approximately 416 bitcoins in September, marking a 16% increase compared to August. 
In a move to balance its financial portfolio, Cipher sold about 382 bitcoins last month. Nevertheless, it ended September holding a reserve of 553 bitcoins. This decision reflects the company's strategic approach to treasury management, aimed at ensuring long-term stability and growth. 
According to CEO Tyler Page, the company has put most of its power curtailment issues behind and is now operating at full capacity at its Odessa data center. Cipher aims to continue expanding and innovating within the bitcoin network's infrastructure, leveraging its technological prowess and strategic partnerships.
