According to the recent publications, Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange, has appointed Rachel Conlan as its Chief Marketing Officer.&nbsp;

It is remarkable that Conlan was previously the Vice President of Global Marketing. Based on Conlan’s LinkedIn, she formerly worked as the global head of brands and partnerships at the cryptocurrency exchange OKX and the global chief marketing operations officer for the public relations company Havas. 
<h3 id="span-style-font-weight-400-attempts-to-strengthen-relationships-in-the-digital-world-span">Attempts to Strengthen Relationships in the Digital World</h3> 
Based on a <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/blog/leadership/binance-announces-rachel-conlan-as-chief-marketing-officer-3151244541602122461">release</a> from Binance, she will oversee global campaigns to strengthen Binance’s relationships and partnerships with online personalities in order to attract a greater audience to the web3 area as CMO.&nbsp; 
According to Binance, the change came after recent additions of Richard Teng as head of regional markets, Eleanor Hughes as general counsel, Kristen Hecht as deputy chief compliance and global money laundering officer, Min Lin as head of Latin America, and Kristen Hecht as deputy chief compliance and global money laundering officer. 
<h2 id="span-style-font-weight-400-comments-from-the-binance-ceo-span">Comments from the Binance CEO&nbsp;</h2> 
Binance CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao said: “Our leadership team is critical to carrying out positive impacts that have an effect on the larger ecosystem and our mission, which is focused on users,” he added: “And, Rachel is an example of that. Our team is stronger than ever as we focus on delivering great products and services for our users while ensuring we are a responsible industry leader.” 
<h3 id="span-style-font-weight-400-layoffs-and-regulatory-pressure-span">Layoffs and Regulatory Pressure</h3> 
The announcement follows <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/binance-us-lays-off-a-third-of-its-workforce/">the recent layoffs of around a third of the staff</a> at Binance US, the cryptocurrency exchange’s US subsidiary, which also saw the departure of its president and CEO, Brian Shroder. The cutoffs came amidst the company being <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/sec-sues-crypto-exchange-binance-and-ceo-zhao/">the focus of inquiries by the SEC</a> as well as other <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/cftc-claims-that-binance-intentionally-broke-u-s-laws/">regulatory bodies like the CFTC</a> and <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/us-doj-investigates-binance-over-violations-of-russia-sanctions/">United States Department of Justice&nbsp; (US DOJ)</a>. The U.S.SEC was against Binance, its US platform, and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) with labeling the firm as “blatant disregard” for American law.
