The legal team of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), following a recent bail revocation by a federal judge, has expressed the challenges they have encountered in thoroughly examining the vast amount of case-related documents.&nbsp; 
As per a <a href="https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/sam-bankman-fried-wants-weekly-jail-release-to-prepare-defense-case-1.1960870" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">letter sent</a> to Judge Lewis Kaplan, and reported by Bloomberg, SBF’s legal representatives wrote that their hindrance stems from their client’s confinement to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. 
To address this issue, the 31-year-old entrepreneur is requesting to spend five weekdays outside the confines of the lockup. This will enable him to collaborate more effectively with his legal representatives and strengthen his defense case.&nbsp; 
<h2 id="b-sbf-request-for-temporary-release-b">SBF Request for Temporary Release</h2> 
The decision to seek permission for temporary release comes as a result of the complex nature of the accumulated documents about the case. As written by the legal team, the extensive volume of information requires thorough review and analysis to effectively prepare for SBF’s defense. 
By allowing the embattled CEO to spend five weekdays outside the lockup, he will be able to interact directly with his legal team and actively participate in discussions regarding his defense. However, this collaboration will be instrumental in building a solid defense strategy tailored to addressing the allegations against him.&nbsp; 
Furthermore, it will provide an opportunity for his legal representatives to fully grasp the intricacies of the case and present a strong argument on his behalf. The legal team also mentioned that speeding up the process was necessary with his fraud trial scheduled to start in October. 
<h2 id="b-former-ftx-ceo-released-on-bail-b">Former FTX CEO Released on Bail</h2> 
Some days after <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/sam-bankman-fried-signs-extradition-papers-to-the-us/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SBF’s extradition to the U.S</a>., he was <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/sam-bankman-fried-signs-extradition-papers-to-the-us/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">released on the basis of paying a $250 million bond</a>. He was also required to have<a href="https://thecoinrise.com/judge-orders-the-release-of-identities-of-sbfs-bail-bond-guarantors/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> two guarantors who were later revealed</a> to be Larry Kramer, a former Standford Law School Dean, and Andreas Paepcke, a senior research scientist at Standford University. 
Meanwhile, the criteria of this bail required that he remains at home, be tracked, and have to give up his passport. Hence, he had to move in with his parents in Palo Alto, California. 
<h2 id="b-sbf-violates-bail-terms-b">SBF Violates Bail Terms</h2> 
Not long after, SBF requested a modification to the bail. He tried contacting the present general counsel of FTX US through email and Signal, an encrypted messaging application. Through these means of communication, the young billionaire expressed his desire to reconnect and establish a structured relationship. Signal also played a role in helping SBF evade supervision.
