OpenSea, a marketplace for non-fungible tokens, has made the decision to discontinue support for one of its blockchains.&nbsp; 
OpenSea will no longer permit NFTs to be created on BSC, also known as BNB Smart Chain. OpenSea stated that the decision to remove BSC was made due to the “need to align resources with the most promising efforts,” and that the company came to the conclusion that “to continue supporting BSC outweighs the impact,” according to a post that the company made on social media. 
“Beginning today, you will no longer be able to make new offers or establish new listings for BSC NFTs. This change will take effect immediately. However, you will still have the ability to access, discover, and transfer BSC NFTs on our platform,” OpenSea added. We are certain that this choice will assist us in directing resources so that we can stay up with the tremendous innovation occurring within our ecosystem. 
As a result of this change, the total number of blockchains that OpenSea is able to support has been reduced to 10. These blockchains include Arbitrum, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum, Klaytn, Optimism, Polygon, and Zora. 
The BNB Smart Chain is the Layer 1 blockchain that originated from the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Previously, it was known as the Binance Smart Chain.
