<p>The effect of the pandemic and the following incidents was so huge that companies across the industries distanced from profitability. Let alone profitability, for many companies, it came to the matter of survival during the time. Cloud messaging company, Twilio Inc. (NYSE: TWLO) is in the series of companies waiting to generate profits with normalcy now. However, TWLO stock price might need more concrete reasons to soar than just future assurance.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>Twilio released a second-quarter earnings report on August 8th, 2023 for the quarter that ended in June 2023. The company saw an increase in revenue and earnings per share from the previous several quarters. In addition, the number surpassed the company’s own guidance for the quarter projected earlier.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>San Francisco-based subscription software services provider firm generated $1.04 in revenue, marking an increase of 10% year-over-year. The company posted EPS of $0.54, tremendously high from the previous year’s -$0.11.</p> 
<p>The numbers are all not so charming after all, but the increase suggests the company is moving towards profitability. The net income for the quarter remained at -$166 Million which is over 60% up from the -$322 Million from Q2 2022.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>Though the core businesses like cloud messaging and subscription based-software businesses such as data analytics, etc. are still picking up pace, the non-core AI software business is outshining.&nbsp;</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-twilio-plans-to-leverage-ai-strong"><strong>Twilio Plans to Leverage AI</strong></h2> 
<p><a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/08/13/global-ai-investment-to-hit-200-billion-by-2025-goldman-sachs/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Artificial intelligence</a> (AI) has proven its potential of uplifting basic operational capabilities for many companies. The sector is expanding both horizontally and vertically: more companies are adopting the tech and it is attaining new technological heights.</p> 
<p>Twilio recently revealed the partnership with popular generative AI chatbot ChatGPT creator,<a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/08/14/openai-might-pack-its-bags-after-getting-bankrupt-in-2024/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> OpenAI</a>. In the wake of the collaboration, the clients over the cloud messaging company’s platform would be able to take advantages such as interacting with GPT-4.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>The management of over $10 Billion market cap company holds a positive outlook for the upcoming quarters and the whole of 2023. For Q3 2023, Twilio is expected to hit $980 Million to $990 in revenue.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>In addition, for the whole year, the management expects adjusted operating income to stay between $350 Million to $400 Million.&nbsp;</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-twlo-stock-price-movement-strong"><strong>TWLO Stock Price Movement</strong></h2> 
<p>Currently TWLO stock is trading at $58.68 following the drop of 2.7% in the last intraday trading session on Thursday, August 17th. The stock price marked over 16% increase since the beginning of the year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>TWLO stock price is trading below 50 and 200-day moving averages, suggesting the bleak possibility of an upswing in the near future. The stock is consolidating between the $58 to $68 price range. Given the trading price at press time, it is likely to test immediate support at $58.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>If the drop continues and TWLO stock price refuses the support and breaks it, it could fall further to re-test the strong support at the yearly low of $48.&nbsp;</p>
