Aptos Labs has announced a partnership with Microsoft to accelerate the mass onboarding of users to its blockchain. The layer 1 blockchain developer will leverage the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to build Aptos Assistant. 
Aptos Assistance is a user-friendly and secure assistant bridging web2 users to web3. The Aptos assistance will help to overcome some of the challenges slowing down the onboarding of the mainstream onto the blockchain. 
People using web3 for the first time will be able to ask the AI assistant any question about the Aptos blockchain ecosystem using natural language. Some of the AI-enabled functionalities include helping users understand the benefits of creating a cryptocurrency wallet and converting fiat currency into crypto. 
Developers will also use Aptos Assistance to speed up the process of building smart contracts and decentralized apps by directing them to relevant, accessible resources. 
Commenting on the partnership, Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos Labs said: “Artificial Intelligence and blockchain technologies are quickly converging for one important reason: they are both generational breakthroughs that profoundly impact the evolution of the internet and shape society.” 
This announcement comes three months after Shaikh <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/aptos-ceo-is-bullish-on-web3-heres-why/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">shared his opinion</a> on the importance of the big tech companies in advancing web3 adoption. “The industry needs to convince the likes of Google, Apple and Amazon, to jump on the web3 train and build on top of highly scalable blockchains focused on improving user experiences,” Shaikh wrote in a blog post on TechCrunch in April. 
And it looks like his vision is already being realised with this partnership. “Together with Microsoft, our shared vision is to ensure that this technology is accessible to more people and organizations than ever before.” 
This collaboration will also see both companies pursue joint ventures that include exploring innovative solutions, such as asset tokenization, payments and Central Bank Digital Currencies, that will further advance the adoption of Web3 from financial services enterprises. Moreover, Aptos will run a validator node on Azure as part of the partnership. 
Rashmi Misra, General Manager, AI &amp; Emerging Technologies, Microsoft commented: The intersection of AI and blockchain is one of the most interesting combinations of emerging technologies and can generate transformational use cases.” 
“By fusing Aptos Labs’ technology with the Microsoft Azure Open AI Service capabilities, we aim to democratize the use of blockchain enabling users to seamlessly onboard to Web3 and innovators to develop new exciting decentralized applications using AI,” added Misra.
