If the legislation successfully passes and receives President Vladimir Putin’s signature, the Bank of Russia could commence testing the digital ruble as early as next month.&nbsp;

As Russia advances its plans to introduce a digital Ruble, the Bank of Russia has announced a pilot project involving 15 of the country’s lenders. The project aims to assess the functionality and practicality of the digital ruble, enabling participants to engage in transactions using the new currency. While individuals will enjoy free transactions, companies will be subject to a 0.3% fee on their digital Ruble transactions.
