 DeSantis expressed this sentiment in a recent <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tl5RFJC9nI4&amp;ab_channel=BlazeTV" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">interview</a> with Blaze TV. The presidential candidate noted concerns about the potential issuance of digital currencies by the Federal Reserve following an economic disruption. 
 He criticized the Federal Reserve’s suggestion that CBDC implementation could happen without consulting the legislative and executive branches, emphasizing that such a move would require a law to be passed. 
 To prevent CBDC implementation, DeSantis highlighted the actions taken in Florida, where a law was passed to invalidate the recognition of CBDC within the state. He also predicted that other states would follow suit, hindering the Federal Reserve’s ability to introduce CBDC through executive action.
