<h2 id="header-0">Binance Prepares for Hard Fork with On-Chain Asset Reconciliation</h2><p>Binance’s BNB <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/ethereum-price-increase-due-beacon-chain-shift" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Beacon Chain</a> mainnet is set to add a new feature that allows it to halt block production under certain circumstances. The &#34;ZhangHeng&#34; upgrade, happening on July 19, introduces BEP-255 to provide on-chain asset reconciliation and mitigate potential cross-chain bridge exploits. In case of reconciliation errors, the chain will stop producing blocks to protect its users. The hard fork also includes a fix for &#34;Rogue Key Attacks&#34; and aims to facilitate handling more complex business logic. No action is required from BNB token holders or centralized exchange users.</p>
