<h2 id="header-0">SEC is accused of unfairly focusing on a crypto exchange, Bittrex</h2><p>Rodrigo Seira, Special Counsel at crypto investment firm Paradigm, criticized the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for &#34;wrongfully&#34; targeting crypto exchange Bittrex. Seira argued that the SEC&#39;s case is based on an unreasonable use of the Howey test and that the regulator lacks authority over secondary crypto markets due to an inadequate regulatory framework. Paradigm previously supported Coinbase in its legal disputes with the SEC and has now filed an amicus brief in favor of Bittrex.</p>
