The network, built on the OP Stack and serving as an Optimistic layer-2 rollup of <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/all-about-ethereum-merge" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a>, seeks to prevent value capture by venture capital firms and rent-seeking entities. Instead of going to token holders or developers, the sequencer fees will be reinvested into public goods projects through a newly defined governance model. The long-term goal is to fund projects directly using sequencer fees without intermediaries, utilizing the EIP-6969 standard.</p>
