<h2 id="header-0">Gutter Cat Gang NFT Project Hit: Over $765K Stolen in SIM Swap Attack</h2><p>A reported SIM swap attack on the Gutter Cat Gang NFT project resulted in over $765,000 worth of nonfungible tokens being stolen. Hackers compromised the project&#39;s official Twitter accounts and shared fake links to limited edition <strong><a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/five-unique-nft-platforms-that-you-cannot-miss-to-know-this-year" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NFT</a></strong> sneaker airdrops. Clicking on these links drained victims&#39; wallets. The attack may have been facilitated by the team&#39;s use of SMS 2FA. Two victims lost a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT worth $65,913 and $700,000 worth of NFTs from various collections. Gutter Cat Gang co-founder &#64;gutterdan_ confirmed the hack and mentioned working with Twitter and law enforcement to investigate. The compromised accounts are yet to be recovered.</p>
