Qatar Airways is expanding its metaverse experiences capabilities with an introduction of travel previews in the QVerse, its novel virtual reality experience <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/qatar-airways-heads-into-the-metaverse-with-qverse-and-worlds-first-metahuman-cabin-crew/">launched</a> in April 2022.&nbsp; 
This announcement comes hot on the heels of a recently launched feature that allows passengers to receive up to 10 per cent off the price of air tickets while exploring these new digital environments. 
The QVerse allows users to take virtual reality tours guided by the platform’s digital MetaHuman cabin crew named Sama (meaning “sky in Arabic”). 
Sema allows passengers to explore different travel classes including the airline’s first-class check-in counters, lounges and business and economy class cabins. 
Commenting on the introduction of the new features, Qatar Airways group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker <a href="https://globetrender.com/2023/07/05/qatar-airways-upgrades-metaverse-flight-previews/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">said</a>: “Technological advances have opened up a new world of opportunities to enhance the digital offerings available to our customers. 
“As we continually strive to provide excellence at every step, the online booking journey is no exception, which is why we have invested in QVerse. Passengers can now virtually experience our award-winning services at Hamad International Airport and onboard our aircraft.” 
The preview feature allows customers to sample various aspects of the airline from seat features to the business and economy-class in-flight menus in multiple languages. The platform currently supports Arabic, Chinese (traditional), Chinese (simplified), English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Thai languages. 
Qatar Airways has been one of the earliest adopters of web3 and <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/what-is-the-metaverse/">the metaverse</a>. Just months after launching QVerse, the company announced it was introducing <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/nft-tickets/">NFTs and ticket</a> purchases in its Metaverse platform, enabling customers to earn more utility like discounted tickets from interacting with QVerse.
