<p>An Ethereum user took advantage of TrustToken&#39;s temporary halt on minting and redemption of TrueUSD (TUSD) stablecoin. The user used Aave&#39;s v2 lending platform to deposit 7.5 million USDC as collateral, then borrowed 4 million TUSD and sold it for USDC to establish a short position. TrustToken suspended TUSD minting through its custodial partner, Prime Trust, due to regulatory issues. BitGo had planned to acquire Prime Trust but canceled the acquisition. Binance&#39;s adoption of TUSD increased its popularity. TUSD is now the fifth-largest <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/curve-finances-stablecoin-mints-22m-dollars-since-mainnet-launch" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">stablecoin </a>with a market capitalization of over $3.1 billion.</p>
